Loren DeVinney, P.T., O.M.P.T.:
Loren is a graduate of Oakland University's Physical Therapy Program. He earned his degree in 1982, and has continued to gain extensive experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. He was the manual spinal therapist for the Detroit Lion football team, and was certified by Oakland University and the International Seminar in Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 1992. He is a guest lecturer at Oakland University, and a clinical instructor in the graduate orthopedic manual physical therapy program. He is also a member of the American and Michigan Physical Therapy Associations and belongs to the Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Loren is also an owner of The Training Room, in Troy, Michigan.
John Czarnecki, P.T., F.A.A.O.M.P.T: John earned a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Wake Forest University in 1987, and completed his Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan, Flint, in 1989. He was certified as an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist (OMPT) by Oakland University in 1995, and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 1998. John is a fellow of the American Academy of OMPT and is a clinical instructor in the Manual Physical Therapy program at Oakland University. John and his wife, Janice, reside in suburban Detroit with their three children.
Linda K. Costello, B.S.P.T.: Linda graduated in 1982 from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her career path has focused on functional manual therapy especially with continuing education courses from the Institute of Physical Arts (IPA). In 1988 Linda became an instructor for the IPA, teaching continuing education seminars in movement re-education throughout the country. She is also an annual guest lecturer for the Physical Therapy department at Oakland University. Linda currently resides in the metro Detroit area with her husband and three children
Margaret A. Kamenec, P.T.: Margaret received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy with high distinction in 1980 from the University of Michigan. She has studied at the post-graduate level at Michigan State University, Oakland University, Upledger Institute, McKenzie Institute, and the Institute of Physical Art. She has guest lectured at Wayne State University, Oakland University, and for the Easter District of Michigan Physical Therapy Association. She has worked as a physical therapist and as an administrator in the acute care, rehabilitation and outpatient settings. She was an owner of Lehman and Kamenec Physical Therapy from 1988-1997.
Pamela A. Steffl, P.T.: Pamela received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy with distinction in 1981 from Wayne State University. She has studied at the post-graduate level at Michigan State University, Upledger Institute, McKenzie Institute and the Institute of Graduate Health Sciences. She has studied many other manual therapy courses as well. She has experience in Pilates and cranial therapy techniques as well as rehabilitation of the shoulder and knee. Pamela has experience working in the acute care setting, both inpatient and outpatient, as well as administration. She has also worked in rehabilitation settings and in local private practices for many years.
Carolyn E. Varner, M.S.P.T., O.M.P.T.: Carolyn received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University in 1985. She further pursued her clinical education, receiving her Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy certification from the International Seminar in 1994. At Oakland University, she received her Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy graduate certificate in 1997 and a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1999. Her treatments incorporate manual skills that have been acquired throughout her career for tissue and joint mobilization.
Ruth Norman, P.T.A.: Ruth earned an Associate’s degree in Applied Science-Physical Therapy in 1994 from Delta College in Saginaw. She has over nine years experience working in acute care, trauma, neurological, orthopedic, cardiac and burn units as well as inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient settings.
